Recovery After Surgery
Recovery is where most of the questions come up: when can I drive, when can I go back to school or work, is this swelling normal, when can I run? These recovery roadmaps answer those questions stage by stage, from the day of surgery to the day you are cleared, using the same timelines Dr. Raynor goes over with his patients in clinic. If you have already had surgery, enter your surgery date and the roadmap will show you which stage you are in and what comes next. Your physical therapist and our team will tell you when you are ready for each step. Strength and testing decide when you move on, not the calendar. The ACL roadmap is the first one. Roadmaps for meniscus repair, MPFL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, hip arthroscopy and knee arthroscopy are on the way. Until then, the post-op instructions and FAQ pages cover those procedures.
