Knee Surgeon in Dallas

Dr. Raynor treats the knee injuries that keep people from walking, exercising, working and competing: ACL and meniscus tears, kneecap dislocations, cartilage damage and more. When surgery is the right answer, he explains why and follows the recovery through.

See Dr. Raynor

New ACL tear, kneecap dislocation or knee injury? Fast Track patients are typically seen within 1 to 3 business days.

Common knee injuries

The three knee problems Dr. Raynor sees most, in plain language.

Guide

ACL tear

What an ACL does, why it tears, how to tell if you need surgery, and what the road back to sport looks like.

Guide

Meniscus tear

Traumatic versus degenerative tears, when physical therapy is enough, and why repair and trimming have very different recoveries.

Guide

Kneecap dislocation

Patellar instability: will it happen again? Bracing, therapy, and when MPFL reconstruction keeps the kneecap in place.

No diagnosis yet

Not sure what is causing your knee pain?

Most knee problems do not arrive with a label. Dr. Raynor's exam, with X-rays or an MRI when they are needed, sorts out what is going on and what to do about it. He does not perform knee replacements; patients with advanced arthritis are seen and, when the time comes, referred to the joint replacement surgeons in his group.

ACL reconstruction

Patellar tendon, quad tendon or allograft, chosen for the patient.

Meniscus repair

Repair, root repair, and partial meniscectomy when repair is not possible.

MPFL reconstruction

For recurrent kneecap dislocation, with a tibial tubercle osteotomy when the anatomy calls for it.

Knee arthroscopy

Cartilage work, loose bodies and scar tissue through two small incisions.
